957.01. General admission charge to Zoological Park.
   (a)   The Zoological Board of Managers is hereby authorized to make a general admission charge to the Toledo Zoological Park. Such charges shall be as follows:
      Two dollars ($2.00) for each person twelve years of age and over admitted to the Park on each day of the week.
      Seventy-five cents (75¢) for each person under twelve years of age and more than two years of age admitted to the Park on any day of the week. Such child under twelve years of age must be accompanied by an adult person eighteen years of age or over.
      Seventy-five cents (75¢) for each person for all school groups, which shall include the student, the teacher, the teacher's aide or chaperons, except that there shall be no charge for public or parochial school groups from schools located within Lucas County.
      Seventy-five cents (75¢) for each senior citizen admitted to the Park on any day. A senior citizen is any person sixty-five years of age or older.
      A free period for everyone from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, on Mondays, provided such Monday is not a holiday.
      The aforesaid admission charges shall include any and all taxes.
      Such charges shall become effective upon the date of enactment of this chapter.
   (b)   The Toledo Zoological Park shall be closed on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Year's Day.
   (c)   Any and all revenue derived from the general admission charges which are hereinabove authorized shall be deposited in the General Fund and such moneys shall be appropriated from the General Fund and used solely for the maintenance and operation of the Toledo Zoological Park.
   (d)   The acts of the Toledo Zoological Board of Managers and the City officials and employees in heretofore collecting admissions to the aforesaid Zoological Park are hereby ratified and confirmed, the same as though such collections and acts had been authorized prior thereto.
