Upon the combination of functions authorized under § 35.01(B) hereof, the position of Fire Chief shall be terminated to be replaced by the Chief of Emergency Services. The duty of the latter officer as outlined in §§ 35.46 Duties of the Fire Chief and 35.48 Records hereof shall be discharged by said Chief of Emergency Services. The Chief of Emergency Services shall be responsible to the City Manager.
