§ 35.46  DUTIES OF FIRE CHIEF.
   (A)   The Fire Chief shall be in charge of his or her division and of the personnel thereof and also be designated as the Fire Marshall for the city.
   (B)   He or she shall be accountable to the City Manager, and shall perform the following duties:
      (1)   Formulate and recommend to the City Manager, for approval, policies, procedures, rules and regulations for the government and operation of the Fire Division and its personnel;
      (2)   Be responsible for the performance by his or her division of the duties assigned to it by the charter, by law and by this code;
      (3)   Have control of the assignment of all personnel within his or her division;
      (4)   Provide for the training and instruction of personnel within his or her division; and
      (5)   Perform such other duties as the City Manager may prescribe.
