A. Water Rates; Metered Water:
1. The rates, charges and rentals for the services and facilities provided by the city water system shall be fixed and established by resolution of the city council.
2. The monthly water use rate shall be fixed and established by resolution of the city council.
B. Water Hookup Fees:
1. Hookup Fee: The fee for water hookups shall be the cost of all materials, valves and parts and labor necessary to properly complete construction of service. A fee for new water customers signing up for existing services shall be fixed and established by resolution of the city council.
2. Request for Hookup: Any request for water hookup shall be made to the City Clerk, in writing on the application form provided by the City, at least forty-eight (48) hours prior to commencement of installation. Utility hookup will not occur during weekends, evenings, holidays or other time when city personnel are unavailable for inspection.
3. Authorized Installers: Only those contractors, persons, firms, and corporations who are bonded by a surety, authorized to conduct business within the City and State are authorized to install the utility service. (Ord. 334-13, 4-9-2013; amd. Ord. 393-2022, 5-24-2022)
