A. Council Meeting Place:
1. Meeting Place Designated: In the interest of economy, and for the purpose of concentrating the business of the city, the city office at 206 Main Street is hereby designated and established as the place for holding all meetings of the city council, or at such other location as the council may determine based on the city's needs by resolution.
B. Regular Meetings:
1. The City Council shall hold regular meetings on the second Tuesday of each month, and on the fourth Tuesday of each month as needed. Each regular meeting shall be set via resolution of the City Council.
2. The city council may adjourn any regular meeting to any specified time, and may adjourn any meeting from time to time, and such adjourned regular meeting, for the purpose of the passage of any ordinance, or the transaction of any business required by law or ordinance to be transacted at a regular meeting of said council, shall be considered a regular meeting.
C. Special Meetings: The city council may hold special meetings at the call of the mayor, and it shall be the duty of the mayor to call a special meeting of the city council whenever in his/her judgment a special meeting shall be necessary, or whenever the mayor shall be requested to do so by the written request of three (3) council members. Such special meeting shall be called by a written notice from the mayor, to be served upon each council member by any such means.
D. Open Meetings: All meetings of the city council shall be open to the public, except as provided in section 2-3-203, Montana Code Annotated. (Ord. 369-2016, 10-11-2016; Ord. 396-2022, 7-12-2022)
