A. Containers Required: The owner, operator and occupant for human habitation, and every place of business within the city limits shall provide, or cause to be provided, and at all times keep or cause to be kept within a container, including trailers, for the deposit therein of garbage.
B. Container Specifications: Containers may be of any size, similar to service providers' residential and commercial containers, so long as they have a suitable fly tight cover to prevent animal and insect infiltration, spillage and/or blowing of garbage, and must be constructed and at all times maintained so as to prevent leakage. Except for during scheduled pickup times by a contracted service provider, containers must be stored completely on private property.
C. Number Of Containers: As many containers shall be provided on any premises as is necessary and sufficient for the deposit of the garbage accumulating thereon.
D. Requirement for Dumping: Contracted service providers have scheduled weekly pickups for hauling garbage to the landfill. Bi-weekly pickups are also available. Owners, operators and occupants of both residential and commercial habitations must also haul garbage to a permitted sanitary a landfill no less than twice per calendar month to ensure public health and safety is met.
