5-2-2: GASOLINE STORAGE:
   A.   Aboveground: It shall be unlawful to store aboveground or to have on any premises or in any place of business in the City within the fire limits any quantity of gasoline greater than ten (10) gallons, except that it may be kept in isolated buildings or tanks far enough removed from any habitable building to be safe against possible injury to occupants of adjoining buildings and premises. (1977 Code § 7.04.020)
   B.   Over Five Gallons: It shall be unlawful to have, keep or store in any place of business or otherwise, within the fire limits, gasoline in any quantity over five (5) gallons, except that it shall be stored in metal tanks buried at least three feet (3') underground, or in fireproof structures outside of any building in which any person works or sleeps. The quantity stored in such tanks or fireproof structures on any one lot shall be limited to two hundred (200) gallons for automobile garages and sixty (60) gallons for stores. No gasoline storage tanks shall be located under any sidewalk nor in any street or alley except by permission of the City Council. (1977 Code § 7.04.030)
