A. Extinguishment Of Fire: The fire department under the direction of the chief or other proper officer shall, upon alarm of fire, proceed with the utmost dispatch to the place of fire with the fire engine and other apparatus under its care and there work the same under the direction of the chief or other officer in charge and shall place and work such engine and apparatus in the most effective manner until the fire is extinguished.
B. Responsibility Of Officer In Charge: The officer in charge shall be responsible for the working of the fire department, and his orders must be strictly obeyed by each and every member of the fire department. (1977 Code § 2.30.040; amd. 2000 Code)
