§ 72.13 PARKING IN RESIDENTIAL DISTRICTS.
   Parking in residential districts (to include residential uses and all residential areas) shall comply with the following provision:
   (A)   No vehicle, as defined by Tex. Transportation Code Ch. 541, Subch. C, § 541.201, Vehicles, shall be parked or stored between the residential structure and street frontage, unless parked on an improved driveway. An existing improved driveway surface is one made of concrete, asphalt, pavers, or other material approved by the City's Building Official, that form a continual surface sufficient to support the entire width, length and weight of the vehicle. Improved driveways must originate at the public roadway and form a continual surface. Parking surfaces added to an existing, improved driveway surface in the front or side yard must be connected and/or attached to the original improved surface.
   (B)   Parking off the improved driveway in the front yard area (area between residential structure and the street, to include the side yard of corner and irregular shaped lots) is prohibited.

LOADING AND UNLOADING
§ 72.25 GENERALLY.
   All freight trucks shall be loaded and unloaded from the alley entrance, if practicable. Where conditions are such as to make the loading or unloading thereof from an alley impracticable, such trucks shall be parked on the street in accord with all applicable provisions of this subchapter.

§ 72.26 DESIGNATION OF LOADING ZONES.
   The City Director of Transportation and Planning, or his or her designee, is hereby authorized to determine and designate the location of passenger and freight curb loading zones, and shall place and maintain appropriate signs indicating the zones and stating the hours during which the provisions therefor are applicable.

§ 72.27 USE OF PASSENGER CURB LOADING ZONES.
   No person shall stop, stand or park a vehicle for any purpose or period of time other than for the expeditious loading or unloading of passengers in any place marked as a passenger curb loading zone during hours when the regulations applicable to the curb loading zones are effective, and then only for a period of time not to exceed three minutes, except when the spaces are adjacent to and serving a hotel or bus station, when the period of time may not exceed 15 minutes.

§ 72.28 USE OF FREIGHT CURB LOADING ZONES.
   (A)   No person shall stop, stand or park a vehicle for any length of time in any place marked as a freight curb loading zone during the hours so set aside; except that, commercial vehicles may so stop, stand or park for the expeditious unloading and delivery or loading and pickup of material. In no case shall the stop for unloading, loading, pickup or delivery of material exceed 30 minutes.
   (B)   The driver of a passenger vehicle may stop temporarily at a place marked as a freight curb loading zone for the purpose of and while actually engaged in loading or unloading passengers when such stopping, standing or parking does not interfere with any motor vehicle used for the transportation of materials which is waiting to enter or about to enter the zone.
