A. The following current codes are hereby adopted by reference thereto and the same shall be the rules and regulations governing the construction, reconstruction, alteration, installation, demolition, equipment use, occupancy, location, and maintenance of buildings and structures of any kind, nature, or extent whatsoever:
1. International building code (2009 edition).
2. International mechanical code (2009 edition).
3. NFPA 101 life safety code (2020 edition).
4. International property maintenance code (2009 edition).
5. International fire code (2009 edition).
6. International residential code (2009 edition).
7. National electrical code (2011 edition).
8. Illinois plumbing code (2004 edition).
9. Illinois accessibility code (April 24, 1997 edition).
10. International existing building code (2009 edition).
11. International energy conservation code (2009 edition).
B. One copy of each of the aforesaid codes has been on file with the city clerk's office for a period of at least thirty (30) days prior to adoption of this section; and one copy of each of said codes shall remain on file with the city clerk and shall be made available for public use, inspection, and examination.
