6-4-4: SPEED LIMITS:

   A.   Speed Limit Categories: It shall be unlawful for any person to drive or operate any motor vehicle upon the following public streets in the City in excess of the following speed limits:

   30 MILES PER HOUR

      Cheney Street

   35 MILES PER HOUR

Lake Taylorville access road running north and south on the west side of the lake leading into the boat dock area

   45 MILES PER HOUR

Country Club Lane Street, from its intersection with State Route 48, continuing in an easterly direction on Country Club Lane Street to the corporate limits as they now exist and as they are extended in the future in an easterly direction along said Country Club Lane Street

      Langley Road in the City limits

   B.   School Speed Zones:

      1.   In accordance with the provisions of 625 Illinois Compiled Statutes 5/11-605, the following school speed zones are hereby established:

      2.   Slow signs for the protection for school children between eight thirty o'clock (8:30) A.M. and nine o'clock (9:00) A.M., twenty minutes after eleven o'clock (11:20) A.M. and one o'clock (1:00) P.M., and twenty minutes after three o'clock (3:20) P.M. and four o'clock (4:00) P.M., except on Saturdays and Sundays, and except during the months of June, July and August, shall be placed and established as follows, and the driver of every vehicle approaching a school slow sign as designated in this subsection B2 shall proceed with utmost caution before entering the intersection of said streets:
