A. Office Created; Appointment: There is hereby created the Office of Deputy Police Chief. As may be requested by the City Council from time to time, the Deputy Police Chief shall be appointed by the Chief of Police, with the approval of the City Council (i.e., the City's Corporate Authorities), and such Deputy Police Chief shall serve at the discretion of the Chief of Police.
B. Duties: The Deputy Police Chief shall perform such duties and have such responsibilities as the City Council and the Chief of Police may assign and/or designate from time to time. (Ord. 3203, 11-15-2004)
