6-9-1: DEFINITIONS:
CITY: The City of Taylorville, Illinois, a municipal corporation.
CITY ROADWAY: A street, road, highway, or alleyway located within the corporate limits of the City and under the jurisdiction of the City, excluding those streets and roads identified in Section 7-7-6 of the Taylorville City Code; and further excluding the following streets, roadways, and highways (except for intersection crossings as permitted in subparagraph F. of Section 6-9-4), to-wit: Such part of Lincoln Trail that is west of its intersection with Woodbine Street; Park Street; IL Rt. 29; W. Springfield Road; such part of W. Spresser Street that is west of the railroad tracks; S. Spresser Street; IL. Rt. 48; such part of N. Webster Street that is south of its intersection with W. Bidwell Street; and IL. Rt. 104.
ILLINOIS VEHICLE CODE: 625 ILCS 5/1-100 et seq., and all amendments thereto.
UTV: A motorized off-highway vehicle designed to primarily travel off-highway, sixty-four (64) inches or less in width, having a manufacturer's dry weight of two thousand (2,000) pounds or less, traveling on four (4) or more non-highway tires, designed with a non-straddle sear and a steering wheel for steering control, except equipment such as lawnmowers. Also referred to and defined as a recreational off-highway vehicle in 625 ILCS 5/1-168.8. (Ord. 3942, 2-3-2020)
