3-11-4: INSURANCE REQUIRED:
Each scavenger shall maintain, throughout the entire term of the scavenger's license issued hereunder, liability insurance, with a reputable insurance company authorized to do business in the state of Illinois, in an amount of not less than one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000.00) per person and three hundred thousand dollars ($300,000.00) per occurrence and such insurance shall specifically name the city as an additional named insured. Such insurance shall provide liability protection on an "occurrence basis", and not a "claims made basis", incident to the operation of such scavenger business and the operation and/or use of each scavenger vehicle and/or roll-off container vehicle used or provided by such scavenger in such scavenger business. At the time of application for a scavenger license, and from time to time thereafter upon request of the city clerk, each scavenger shall provide the city clerk with a certificate of insurance evidencing such insurance coverage for the entire term of the scavenger's license.
