A. Generally: Any person violating any provision of this Chapter or any business, occupation, activity or use that is continued without a license or permit having been secured therefor as provided in this Chapter or elsewhere in the Taylorville City Code shall, for each offense, be punished as provided in Section 1-4-1 of the Taylorville City Code.
B. Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in the Taylorville City Code: (1) a thirty percent (30%) late fee payment penalty shall be assessed against any person who fails to pay when due the applicable license or permit fee or charge for each initial license or permit or for each renewal license or permit as required in the Taylorville City Code; and (2) no license or permit shall be issued to or renewed for any person until and unless the requisite license or permit fee or charge plus said additional thirty percent (30%) late fee payment penalty has been fully paid to the City.
C. Other Remedies: The availability or imposition of any of the foregoing penalties shall not limit or preclude any other remedy or remedies by way of injunction or other relief available to the City, either at law or in equity. (1993 Code; amd. Ord. 4165, 4-3-2023)
