§ 71.99 PENALTY.
   (A)   Whoever violates any provision of this chapter for which no other penalty is specifically provided shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and fined not less than $20 nor more than $500.
   (B)   Any person who violates § 71.26 shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and fined not less than $60 nor more than $500, or be imprisoned in the county jail for not more than 30 days, or both. (KRS 189.993(8))
   (C)   (1)   Each separate violation of § 71.71 is hereby classified as a criminal offense and made a misdemeanor, for which there is hereby imposed a criminal fine, not to exceed the maximum of $500, as set forth in KRS 534.050(2), or a term of imprisonment not to exceed the maximum period of 12 months, as set forth in KRS 532.090(1), or both.
      (2)   Each separate violation of § 71.71 is hereby classified as a civil offense, for which:
         (a)   The maximum civil fine required by KRS 65.8808(2)(b)1. that may be imposed for each separate violation of § 71.71, is hereby established as $500;
         (b)   The specific civil fine required by KRS 65.8808(2)(b)2., that will be imposed for each separate offense and violation of § 71.71 if the person who has committed the violation and offense does not contest a citation therefor, is hereby established as $100; and
         (c)   An enforcement officer may, in lieu of immediately issuing a civil citation therefor, give notice that the violation of § 71.71 shall be remedied within a specific period of time.

   (D)   Each violation and every other failure to comply with the provisions of § 71.72 shall be a violation; and each day of the continuation thereof shall be a separate and distinct offense for which everybody convicted thereof in a court of competent jurisdiction shall be sentenced to pay a criminal fine not to exceed the maximum amount of $250, as set forth in KRS 534.050(2)(c).
