2-2-3: SIZE OF NUMBERS:
All entrances to houses or buildings shall be numbered, and it shall be unlawful for any person, whether owner or occupant of the house or building to place, maintain or allow to remain thereon, any number other than the one allotted by the provisions of this Chapter. The number placed upon any entrance shall be at least one and three-quarter inches (13/4") in height and of a width in proportion.
If the owner or occupant of any building or house in the City shall fail to cause the main door or any street entrance thereof to be properly numbered, as herein provided, for ten (10) days after receiving notice in writing from the Engineer to cause such door or entrance to be numbered, he shall be guilty of a misdemeanor; provided, that whenever any owner or occupant has been notified to change the existing numbers upon his building or house, the old number may also be temporarily retained for a period not exceeding ninety (90) days after notice to change the same has been made.
