As a condition of approval of a final map, a subdivider who develops or completes the development of one or more subdivisions within the City, may be required to dedicate to the affected school district such lands as the Advisory Agency shall deem to be necessary for the purpose of construction thereon schools necessary to assure the residents of the subdivision adequate school service; provided, however, that the Council has adopted an ordinance to do so consistent with the provisions of section 66478 of the Map Act.
