For the purpose of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
DESIGNEE. A person designated by the Town Manager, in writing, to supervise parks and/or carry out park supervision and/or administration duties.
PARK FACILITIES. All structures, equipment, play areas, and other lands and improvements within parks and park areas.
PARK OR PARK AREA. A tract of land set aside for public recreational use, whether owned, leased, controlled, or operated, including appurtenant structures, and waterfront recreational areas.
TOWN-SPONSORED. A town-sponsored recreational program or activity is a program or activity: (a) that has received an official endorsement from the town or an authorized town official; (b) that utilizes town personnel or funding; and/or (c) that is provided in partnership with the town.
