Any junked or abandoned motor vehicle located upon any occupied or unoccupied private property with the town which has not been removed after ten days' notice from the town to the owner of occupant, upon being declared a health or safety hazard by the town building inspector, may be removed to a garage or storage area and disposed of, pursuant to the provisions of this chapter and G.S. § 160A-303 and amendments thereto.
