§ 91.01 DEFINITIONS.
   For the purpose of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
   CURRENT. The term used to describe the NFPA code or any portion thereof shall mean the version in effect at the time of any violation, alleged violation, occurrence or other incident subject thereto or affected thereby.
   FIRE DISTRICT. The Town Board of Commissioners may pass one or more ordinances establishing and defining fire limits, which shall include the principal business portions of the city and which shall be known as primary fire limits. In addition, the Town Board of Commissioners may also establish and define one or more separate areas within the town as secondary fire limits.
   HAZARDOUS MATERIALS. This term includes but is not limited to flammable solids and liquids, pyroxylin plastics, combustible metals, oxidizing agents, organic peroxides, materials or mixtures of materials which are toxic, corrosive, poisonous, radioactive and any other materials or products that are life-threatening or present a fire hazard as determined by the Fire Marshal.
   HAZ-MAT TEAM. A team of Fire Department members trained to handle and contain hazardous materials as defined in this section.
   INSURANCE SERVICES OFFICE (ISO). A commercial risk assessment service which provides fire insurance ratings based upon the adequacy of fire protection services covering a given area.
   NATIONAL FIRE PROTECTION ASSOCIATION (NFPA). The NFPA was organized in 1896 to promote the science and improve the methods of fire protection and prevention, to obtain and circulate information on these subjects and to secure the cooperation of its members in establishing proper safeguards against loss of live and property by fire.
   SPECIAL EVENT. A onetime event involving any process or activity known or determined to be life-threatening or to constitute a fire hazard. A special event permit shall be issued by the Code Enforcement Fire Prevention Official on any event-by-event or activity-by-activity basis upon demonstration of compliance with applicable Fire Prevention Code rules, provisions and regulations.
