(A) This chapter is adopted pursuant to the authority contained in G.S. §160A-381 which states that a town may, by ordinance, regulate and restrict the height, number of stories, and size of and other structures, the percentage of
that may be occupied, the size of , courts, and other
, the density of population, and the location and use of , structures, and land for trade, industry, residence, or other purposes and to provide density credits or severable
rights for dedicated
pursuant to G.S. §136-66.10 or G.S. §136-66.11.
(B) Whenever any provision of this chapter refers to or cites a section of the North Carolina General Statutes (NCGS) and that section is later amended or superseded, the chapter shall be deemed amended to refer to the amended section or the section that most nearly corresponds to the superseded section.
