§ 50.08 WATER CONNECTION REQUIRED.
   (A)   (1)   The owners of all dwellings, buildings, structures, or properties used for human occupancy, employment, recreation, or other purposes, situated within the township and abutting on any street, alley, or right-of-way in which there is now located or may in the future be located public water of the township is hereby required at their own expense to install suitable water connection facilities therein, and to connect the facilities directly to the public water system in accordance with the provisions of this subchapter.
      (2)   The township, acting in its capacity as the Health Department, may require any such owner, pursuant to the authority conferred upon it by law or ordinance, to make the installation or connection.
   (B)   (1)   Any premises connecting to the Summit Township water system for fire protection purposes shall also be connected to the Summit Township water system for general water usage.
      (2)   Providing, however, that any premises may be connected to the Summit Township water system for general water usage without connecting the premises to the system for fire protection purposes.
   (C)   Each individual dwelling, building, or structure shall be connected separately to the Summit Township water line, and connections to the water line shall not be shared with other dwellings, buildings, or structures located on another lot or parcel.
