134.07 VETERANS' IDENTIFICATION CARDS.
   (a)    The Fiscal Officer may issue a veterans identification card in the form established by the Fiscal Officer to an individual who has met the following requirements:
      (1)   Presented the individual's armed forces discharge record for recording under Section 317.24 of the Ohio Revised Code in the office of the Fiscal Officer;
      (2)   Provided two forms of current and valid identification in accordance with division (b) of this Section, at least one of which must be a form of identification that bears a photograph of the individual;
      (3)   A fee of one dollar ($1.00).
 
   (b)    The following documents are valid forms of identification for the purposes of this Section:
      (1)   An original or a certified birth certificate.
      (2)   An identification card issued by the United States Department of Veterans Affairs.
      (3)   A United States military identification card.
      (4)   A social security card.
      (5)   A license or permit to carry a concealed weapon issued by the State of Ohio or any other state.
      (6)   A motor vehicle operator's license issued by the State of Ohio or any other state that bears a photograph of the licensee.
      (7)   An identification card issued by the State of Ohio or any other state that bears a photograph of the individual identified.
      (8)   A valid passport that bears a photograph of the individual to whom the passport was issued.
 
   (c)    Fees collected under this section shall be deposited into the recorder's equipment fund. The County Executive may waive the fee required under Section 134.07(a)(3) of these Codified Ordinances by Executive Order, upon the written request of the Fiscal Officer, for any cards issued during a public event related to veterans.
 
   (d)    A veterans' identification card expires ten years after the date of issuance.
 
   (e)    The Fiscal Officer shall maintain the confidentiality of photographs, information, or documents that the Fiscal Officer obtains for identification under this Section. The photographs, information, or documents are not part of the public records of the Fiscal Officer's office and shall be treated in the same manner as a record of discharge under Section 317.24(b)(2) of the Ohio Revised Code.
