(a) Council hereby authorizes and directs the Mayor to appoint an Animal Control Officer whose duties it shall be to round up all stray animals within the City and to provide such other services incident thereto. This can be a part-time appointment.
(b) The Animal Control Officer shall be provided with a City-owned vehicle for the execution of his duties as Dog Warden. When the Animal Control Officer must be on duty beyond regular working hours, he may, at the discretion of the Superintendent of Service and Properties, keep the City-owned vehicle at his home overnight.
