222.02 FEES FOR REPRODUCTION OF PUBLIC RECORDS.
The Director of Finance or his designee is authorized from time to time to establish fees to be charged to any person, firm or corporation for the reproduction of public records of the City. Such fees shall be based upon the actual costs of reproduction. The computation of actual costs shall include the current costs of the toner, paper, binding or cover (if any), and the reproduction equipment use time, and other direct costs incurred in the reproduction process. The computation of actual costs shall not include public employee time utilized in the reproduction of records. Such fees shall be posted at those City locations where public records are usually made available to the public. The fees established by the Director of Finance shall be charged and paid by the party requesting the reproduction of public records prior to the delivery thereof. If the reproduction of the public record is voluminous and in the judgment of the custodian thereof requires reproduction by a contractor employed by the City, the fee to be charged shall be the reproduction fees charged by such contractor in lieu of the fees established by the Director of Finance.
