Whoever violates or fails to comply with any of the provisions of this Chapter, including the Ohio Building Code and the rules of the Ohio Administrative Code adopted in Section 1404.01, or with any lawful order issued pursuant thereto, is guilty of a misdemeanor of the fourth degree and shall be fined not more than two hundred fifty dollars ($250.00) or imprisoned not more than thirty days, or both, for each offense. A separate offense shall be deemed committed each day during or on which such violation or noncompliance occurs or continues. The City may institute proceedings in common pleas court to abate a nuisance or failure to cease work after receipt of an adjudication order or a stop work order as referred to in Section 1404.06(b).
