Every applicant for a license to maintain, operate or conduct a tattooing establishment shall file an application under oath with the City upon a form provided by the Building Commissioner and pay a nonrefundable application fee of Two Hundred Dollars ($200.00). Once accepted, the application shall be referred to the Police Department for investigation. Copies of the application shall, within five days, also be referred to the Fire Department. The City Departments shall, within thirty days, inspect the premises proposed to be operated as a tattoo establishment and shall make written verification to the Building Commissioner concerning compliance with the codes of the City and State that they administer.
