Council hereby directs that the Law Director’s legal duties with respect to the City be limited to representing only City departments, boards and officers and do not include the legal activities or problems of the Strongsville Board of Education. If such school board elects to separately engage or enter into a contract with an attorney employed by the City to perform legal work, any such engagement or contract shall not directly or indirectly obligate the City to compensate or provide additional benefits to such attorney for performing such legal work for the Strongsville Board of Education. The engagement, contracting, and performance of any such legal work for the Strongsville Board of Education by an attorney employed by the City may be undertaken so long as it is not in conflict with such attorney’s responsibilities in his/her position with the City. The Mayor may enter into an agreement with the Strongsville Board of Education for the joint use of an attorney employed by the City.
