296.07 MAGISTRATE DUTIES AND AUTHORITY.
   The Magistrate shall hear and determine prosecutions and criminal causes in the Strongsville Mayor’s Court that are within the jurisdiction of the Court; shall issue all writs and process that are necessary to enforce the administration of justice through the Court; shall have all the same powers, duties and authority as does the Mayor to hear and determine prosecutions and causes in general, including, but not limited to, the power and authority to decide the prosecutions or cause, enter judgment, and impose sentence; shall have the power, duties, and authority granted to the Mayor by the laws of the State of Ohio, in relation to issuing writs and process and hearing and determining prosecutions and causes in the Mayor’s Court; and shall have all the powers, duties, and authority granted to a magistrate of a Mayor’s Court by the General Laws of the State of Ohio.
