As used in this chapter:
(a) "Garbage" means every waste, refuse, animal, fruit or vegetable matter, liquid or otherwise, that attends the preparation, use, cooking, dealing in or storage of meat, fish, fowl, fruit or vegetables,
(b) "Garbage incinerator" means a structure or apparatus within which garbage can be consumed by combustion or dehydration.
(c) "Dwelling unit" means a single-family residence or a flat or apartment in a multi- residence building.
(d) "Garbage disposal" means an electrical, mechanical or plumbing apparatus installed as a part of the plumbing attached to a sink, into which the garbage can be placed and ground to a pulpy substance and disposed through the plumbing sewerage system.
