(a) Any and all Portland cement concrete used for paving under this chapter shall:
(1) Be of a compressive strength of 4,000 pounds per square inch (psi) in twenty-eight days;
(2) Have an air entertainment of six percent (6%) to eight percent (8%) at the time of pour; and
(3) Consist of sound, coarse aggregate (one inch or smaller required).
(b) Any and all interlocking concrete paving stones used for paving under this chapter shall conform to the following physical requirements:
(1) Be of a minimum compressive strength of 8,000 psi, and a maximum absorption of five percent (5%) when sampled and tested in accordance with ASTM C140;
(2) When tested in accordance with Section 8 of ASTM C67, specimens shall have not breakage and not greater than one percent (1.0%) less in dry weight of any individual unit when subjected to fifty cycles of freezing and thawing; and
(3) Length, width and height of specimens shall not differ by more than 1/8" (3mm) from approved samples.
