1056.01 DEFINITIONS.
   As used in this Title Five, the following words and phrases shall have the following meanings, unless the context clearly indicates a different meaning:
   (a)   "City Engineer" means the engineer of the City, or any person working under his supervision and direction to carry out duties and responsibilities under this Title Five.
   (b)   "Impervious surface" means any artificial or manmade surface constructed or installed on a lot which limits or prohibits natural storm water retention including, but not limited to, a roof, sidewalk, driveway, parking lot, mall or other similar surface.
   (c)   "Lot" means any lot, tract or parcel of land proposed to be subdivided or built upon.
   (d)   "Surface water" means water occurring on the surface of the land, from natural causes such as rainfall and melting of snow and ice, whether falling on the land in question or flowing onto the land in question.
   (e)   "Surface water control facility" means a system of pipe(s), watercourse(s), pond(s), basin(s), outlet(s), or other thing(s), designed to collect, hold, detain, retain and control the flow of surface water including any part of any such system.
   (f)   "Watercourse" means any ditch, swale, creek, river or land over which surface water flows, whether constantly or occasionally.
