(a) The written permission to construct sanitary sewer service connections or to make a connection to the public sanitary sewer system shall specify the permissible use of such sewer and connection and such specification shall be governed by the requirements of this chapter and of Chapter 1250.
(b) Any sanitary sewer service connection existing at the time of this chapter (Ordinance 1966-135, passed September 12, 1966), and in violation of the intent of this chapter, shall be abandoned and removed. The intent of this chapter is to regulate the installation and/or construction of sanitary sewers which connect to the public sanitary sewer system and thereby insure structurally sound, serviceable and watertight sanitary sewer service connection piping systems.
