1022.03 PIPE SPECIFICATIONS.
The pipe which shall be installed in such roadside drainage ditch shall be made of corrugated, galvanized iron or its structural equivalent. It shall be not less than twelve inches in diameter and not less than twenty feet in length, unless the Superintendent of Service and Properties or someone designated by him, after inspection of the premises and location wherein such pipe or tile is to be installed, determines that a pipe or tile of lesser dimensions will serve to keep the ditch open, functioning and free of obstructions. All tile or pipes shall be installed at a depth which in the opinion of the Commissioner of Buildings will reasonably insure that the same will not become broken or displaced and will be conducive to its uninterrupted functioning for the purpose of keeping such roadside ditch open and free of obstacles.
