§ 50.01 TEMPORARY RELIEF OF UTILITIES FOR ACTIVE MEMBERS OF THE UNITED STATES ARMED FORCES.
   Relief shall be provided to active members of the United States Armed Forces from water, sewer and trash charges for properties owned and occupied by said active members of the United States Armed Forces in the village.
   (A)   The active members of the United States Armed Forces must own or occupy property located within the village and serviced by water, sewer and trash services provided by the village.
   (B)   The active members of the United States Armed Forces must have received notification of a deployment which will require them to be absent from their property for at least six months, and that their absence will cause their property to be completely vacant.
   (C)   Under these circumstances, the active service person shall receive a 100% forgiveness of any water, sewer and trash charges incurred during their deployment and absence from their residence; provided they make written application and agree to have the water turned off at the curb connection upon approval of the application.
   (D)   The application shall be submitted to the Mayor for approval.
   (E)   Upon the return from deployment of the active member of the United States Armed Forces, they shall make application for the water, sewer and trash service to be restored, and upon approval, any turn-on fee otherwise required shall be waived.
