§ 96.06 PORTABLE STORAGE CONTAINERS IN NON-RESIDENTIAL AREAS.
   It is recognized that non-residential or commercial areas have different needs and requirements from residential areas. For that reason, this section shall apply in lieu of or in addition to the foregoing provisions relating to residential areas.
   (A)   In non-residential areas, an owner may locate a portable storage container on his property for up to two months in any calendar year, subject to the following exception: Where the owner is remodeling or constructing a building on the subject premises, and has a valid building permit from the city, he or she or it may locate a portable container on his or her property for the period of time reasonably required for the active building construction, plus two weeks.
   (B)   The number and location of portable storage containers to be located on the property shall be subject to the approval by the permit officer, preferring to use a site plan provided by applicant and approved by city staff.
   (C)   A copy of the permit shall be kept on-site at all times when the container is on-site and shall be made available to inspection by any city officer.
