(A) The operator of a vehicle about to be overtaken and passed shall give way to the right in favor of the overtaking vehicle if the overtaking vehicle is a motor vehicle.
(B) In all cases of meeting, passing or overtaking of vehicles this assistance shall be given by the operator and occupants of each vehicle, respectively, to the other as the circumstances reasonably demand in order to obtain clearance and avoid accidents.
