After the adoption of the comprehensive plan and ordinance, all amendments to it shall be adopted according to the procedures set forth in Sections 1305.03 through 1305.07, except that publication of the notices of the date, time and place of the hearings upon such amendment need only be fifteen or more days prior to the hearing. If the governing body desires an amendment, it may direct the Planning Commission to prepare an amendment and submit it to public hearings within sixty days after formal written request by Council.
