The R-2 (Multiple Family Residential) District is intended for a variety of higher density housing options, including apartments, multiple family dwellings, townhouses, and condominiums in those areas where the development fits the land use plan, where properly related to other land uses and thoroughfares, and where adequate municipal utilities are available.

The following are permitted uses in the R-2 District:
(A) Any use permitted in the R-1 District;
(B) Multiple family dwellings, apartment buildings, townhouses, and condominiums;
(C) Board houses;
(D) Hospitals, convalescent homes, and nursing homes;
(E) Religious, educational, charitable, or philanthropic institutions; and
(F) Private clubs and lodges, except those whose service is customarily carried on as a commercial business.

The following are permitted accessory uses in the R-2 District:
(A) Garages;
(B) Storage buildings customarily incidental to the permitted uses; and
(C) Accessory buildings and structures, including private kennels.
