Any person hereafter installing gas piping or gas appliances in any building in the city and the owner or lessee of any such building suffering or permitting such installation which shall not be in compliance with the specifications set forth in the booklet described in section 4-2-1 of this chapter, shall be guilty, upon conviction thereof, of a misdemeanor and shall be punished by fine or imprisonment as provided by section 1-4-1 of this code. Each such installation shall constitute a separate offense. (1975 Code)
