1-4-1: MUNICIPAL INFRACTIONS:
Whenever in any section of this code any act is prohibited or is made or declared to be unlawful or an offense or a misdemeanor or whenever in any section of this code the doing of any act is required or the failure to do any act is declared to be unlawful or an offense or a misdemeanor and no specific penalty is provided therefor, the violation of such provision shall constitute a municipal infraction as set forth in Iowa Code 364.22. The provisions of Iowa Code 364.22 are incorporated herein as though fully set out. A municipal infraction is punishable by a civil penalty of not more than one hundred dollars ($100.00) for each violation, or if the infraction is a repeat offense, a civil penalty not to exceed two hundred dollars ($200.00) for each repeat offense.
