7-1-2: PARKINGS, ABUTTING OWNER:
When the parking between the property line and the traveled portion of the street has been improved in accordance with the provisions of this code, the owner of the abutting property may plant trees and grass upon the said parking, and shall keep the same free from weeds and rubbish and otherwise in good condition. The owner of the abutting property may park vehicles which are licensed, properly insured and in proper running order between the property line and the traveled portion of the street; however, vehicles may not be parked on an existing sidewalk. Any owner violating the provisions of this section shall be subject to the provisions of section 1-4-1 of this code. (Ord. 7, 9-5-1921; amd. 1975 Code; 2004 Code)
