929.10 TAP FEES FOR SANITARY SEWER SYSTEM.
   (a)    Effective April 1, 1992, the tap fee for connection to the City sanitary sewage lines shall be as follows:
      (1)    Six hundred dollars ($600.00) for a four-inch tap.
      (2)    Fees for taps in excess of four inches shall be charged on a time and material basis. The City's charge for labor shall be based on the actual hounly base rate for three employees for hours worked in making the tap. Equipment usage such as backhoe, dump truck, air compressor, boring machine and compaction equipment shall be charged on an hourly basis in accordance with the schedule of fees on file in the Utility office. Asphalt replacement shall be based on the cost of asphalt installed per ton. Granular backfill shall be charged at it actual cost delivered to the City.
      (3)    Wet taps shall be charged at the actual rate charged the City by the contractor.
   (b)    If the City's line has an existing tap and all that the City needs to do is make the connection, the tap fee set forth in this section shall be reduced by the sum of three hundred dollars ($300.00).
