There is hereby created the position of Superintendent of Sewerage. The duties of this position shall include all work in connection with the maintenance and operation of the sewerage system including control of the establishment and use of connections to the sewers. The Superintendent of Sewerage shall have charge of the issuance of licenses to persons to engage in the tapping of sewers, the issuance of permits for the construction of house sewers and sewer connections, the inspection of the construction of house sewers and sewer connections and the performance of all other duties in relation to the maintenance of the sewerage system as the Director of Public Service may direct.
