(a) The Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to sign checks drawn upon the City in the absence or disability of the Director of Finance, subject to the conditions of subsections (b) and (c) hereof.
(b) Before signing checks drawn upon the City, the Mayor shall obtain the prior written approval of a majority of the members of Council assigned to the Finance Committee, which written approval shall contain a determination that the Director of Finance is absent or under a disability and which shall specify the duration of the authority herein conferred.
(c) Prior to signing checks drawn upon the City, the Mayor shall obtain a surety bond in an amount as determined by Council. (Ord. 1238. Passed 7-21-80.)
