The duties of the Parks and Recreation Committee shall be to advise the Mayor and the Council of recommendations for the development of parks, playgrounds and other recreational areas within the jurisdiction of the City, which, in the opinion of the Committee, bear relation to planning, welfare and growth of the City and to make recommendations as to their use and the fees thereby charged for their use.
The Parks and Recreation Committee shall on an annual basis, if needed, recommend any changes to the previously approved by resolution rate schedule for reasonable rates, fees and charges for the use of the municipal pool, contiguous property and other properties as managed by the Parks and Recreation Committee, which fees shall be collected by the Clerk-Treasurer of the City or the Clerk-Treasurer’s designee. Council, thereafter, shall adopt or amend such recommended rates, fees and charges by resolution.
