Article 1761 shall not apply to the open storage on the premises of the following material(s):
(a) Regarding the Yard and Front Yard.
(1) Construction materials and equipment used for the construction or renovation of a building on the premises for which a valid building permit has been issued.
(2) Items stored in an enclosed porch or balcony.
(3) Garbage or trash that is enclosed in a garbage repository or can.
(4) Indoor furniture or equipment provided it is accompanied by the user and removed by the end of the day.
(b) Regarding the Yard.
(1) Wood intended for consumption in a wood-burning stove, furnace or fireplace located in a building on the premises.
(2) Temporary storage (less than three (3) weeks) of materials for projects (such as landscaping and personal construction projects) where a permit is not required.
(3) Storage or placement and accumulation of materials in connection with a commercial operation duly conducted on the premises where such storage, placement and accumulation are expressly permitted by the City of St. Albans.
(4) Storage of building materials that are obstructed from view by a screening structure.
(5) Storage of junk items that are obstructed from view by a screening structure.
