§ 18-114 METER READING AND DETERMINATION OF CHARGES.
   (A)   Ordinarily, meters will be read once per month and bills rendered once per month. However, the city reserves the right to vary this schedule if necessary or desirable.
   (B)   (1)   Where the municipality allows more than one commercial or residential dwelling or premises to be served through a single service line and meter, the amount of water used by all the dwellings and premises served through a single service line and meter shall be allocated to each such dwelling or premises served. The water and sewer charges for each such dwelling or premises thus served shall be computed just as if each such dwelling or premises had received, through a separately metered service, such computation to be made at the municipality’s applicable water and sewer rate schedule, including the provisions as to minimum bills.
      (2)   The separate charges for each dwelling or premises served through a single service line and meter shall then be added together, and the sum thereof shall be billed to the name of record at the city’s Water Works.
   (C)   Readings from different meters will not be combined into one account for billing, even if the meters are for the same premises, or for the same consumer, or for the same type of service.
   (D)   Subject to § 18-115 of this chapter, a charge shall be made for all water passing through the customer’s meter.
   (E)   Bills for water and sewer service shall be calculated in accordance with the rate schedule in effect at the time of billing.
