   This compilation includes Tenn. Code Ann. Title 6, Ch. 1 through 17, which contain the basic organizational provisions for this form of government. Important note: there are many other general laws affecting municipalities organized under this charter which have been omitted because they apply to all municipalities. These are found in various parts of the Tennessee Code Annotated. This compilation has been amended to reflect legislation passed in the 2010 session of the Tennessee General Assembly.
   If the city has adopted any related acts, those acts will follow the general law charter.
